Dr. Phong Tran is Technical Lead for ISET-Viet Nam, and has more than 15 years working as a practitioner and researcher on urban climate resilience, and disaster risk reduction in developing countries in the Asia and Pacific, particularly in Viet Nam. Prior to his work with ISET, Phong worked as a researcher for the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), and the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD). With ISET, he leads the urban programs that focus on urban climate resilience, urban disaster risk reduction, and housing. Dr. Phong obtained his doctoral degree in Environmental Studies from Kyoto University, Japan and his master degree in urban and regional planning from University of Hawaii, USA.
