ISET-International researchers will conduct a Post Event Review (PERC) on Hurricane Florence, which struck the Southern United States in September 2018 and caused more than $1 billion in damages. This research is focused on understanding why a hazard became a disaster and identifying opportunities for building resilience. This research will be conducted as part of ISET’s participation in the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance, which focuses on “finding practical ways to help communities … strengthen their resilience to flood risk”.
