Overview

The journal proceedings were published in Chapter 41: Building Resilience to Climate Change in Asian Cities found on pages 401-409 of Resilient Cities: Proceedings of the Global Forum 2010.

Climate change will impact urban population and systems over and above the existing twenty-first century challenges faced by city managers, leaders, and planners. This paper summarizes the processes, methods, and tools that are currently being developed through the Rockefeller Foundation's Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN). These tools and methods are currently being used and refined by a diverse set of stakeholders working in growing cities across Asia to improve climate change resilience. The findings are drawn from the practice and experience of actors striving to make cities resilient to climate change and climate variability.
