Climate Adaptation in Asia: Knowledge Gaps and Research Issues in Southeast Asia

Overview
With the aim of developing a long term programme of research support, the Department for International Development (DFID) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) commissioned a six-month Asia regional study to identify key knowledge areas where research may contribute to this adaptation challenge. The Institute for Social and Environmental Transition (ISET), in collaboration with partners in Southeast Asia (SEA), China and South Asia, engaged in sub-regional efforts to identify strategic knowledge and capacity gaps where research on adaptation could be most effective in supporting countries to ?address the threat that climate change puts on development and poverty alleviation?.
