Urban Water Management in Jaipur, India ISET is working with the Centre for Environment and Development Studies Jaipur (CEDSJ) to examine the joint impacts of climate change, rural to urban migration and evolving water demand for the city of Jaipur, India through 2030. ISET and CEDSJ are working with the city government to explore alternative water management strategies that are robust to a wide range of futures. Click here to read more about the project.
Urban Water Markets in Indore, India ISET and the Pacific Institute are working and India-based partner, TARU Leading Edge, to develop a framework and toolset that can be used by formal water sector resource managers to understand the potential impacts of climate and social change on urban water resources. Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN ) ISET is the lead facilitation partner working with country-level partners and partner organizations to support 10 Asian cities across Vietnam, India, Indonesia and Thailand in developing climate resilience strategies under the ACCCRN initiative by 2012. The objectives of the ACCCRN program include:
- Test and demonstrate a range of actions to build climate change resilience in cities
- Build a replicable base of lessons learned, successes and failures
- Assist cities in developing and implementing a climate change resilience building process
- Build the capacity of cities to continue climate change resilience building activities
